Route dossier
The Grand Ladakh Loop
Our ultimate cross-country expedition. Launch from the cosmopolitan heart of Hyderabad, blast through high-speed liaisons across states, and transition into the freezing altitudes of the Himalayas.
Two Official Participation Formats
This legendary expedition can be undertaken as the complete 28-day continental crossing or as the focused 15-day high-altitude stage.
Expedition brief
This is the absolute pinnacle of motorcycle expeditions in India. The Grand Ladakh Loop is a 28-day continental crossing operated only during the summer window (June - September) when the Himalayan snow melts enough to open the high passes.
The journey is the destination. You begin with high-speed highway liaisons across the vast Indian plains—a thrilling transcontinental sprint—before the landscape completely transforms as you ascend into the freezing altitudes of the Himalayas. You will conquer Khardung La (17,582 ft), cross glacial meltwaters in Sarchu, and sleep by the high-altitude Pangong Lake.
This expedition also offers a shortened "Ladakh Mountain Stage" (15 Days) for riders who only have time for the mountain segment: you join the expedition convoy in Delhi and ride the high passes with us before returning from Delhi, while the full convoy continues to Varanasi.
Earning the Master of the Skies patch requires embracing the extreme transition from fast open highways to precise technical navigation on the highest roads on the planet.

Expedition Class III — EXTREME
THE CHALLENGE
Not a vacation. Not a motorcycle rental. An expedition across India & Nepal — long days, real altitude, remote terrain, and a crew that treats the route as a serious operation.
High altitude, remote terrain, serious logistics.
Desert highways, extreme altitude mountain passes (17,000+ ft), glacial water crossings, and northern plains.
